E-Mails of the Departed

I came across an interesting article called What Happens to Your Emails When You Die? discussing what you should do with your internet mailboxes (and I assume ljs and websites) in event of your death (a morbid subject and not much thought about currently).

Its scary that even these things when you die can become someone else's headache. I think that if you can provide a death certificate they should close your accounts and let your executor or family handle these things with no questions asked.
Grrr you get it while your here with identity theft and when you die it gets worse. Thank God that you don't have to be here to deal with it.

I do think leaving all your pass code in your will or at lease in documentation with instructions of what to do when your gone is a good idea.

You have to tell someone what mailbox addys and websites and photobucket sites (along with the passwords) are yours otherwise how will they know and if you use a nom de courriel how will the webmasters know who you really are? All this is so new and I doubt many people have really given this subject much thought.
