Smallville and Vamps

Well, James Marsters had several scenes in "Smallville" last night (yay) and he did say that line about vampires with a straight face. Did anybody else notice that when he did the T-1000 bit he used a very long SPIKE to kill the guy? I'd like Prof. Fine if I didn't know that he was doing things like that and was going to turn into Brainiac--the charm of JM strikes again. Is it just me or was anybody else appalled that Lana killed Buffy (and that might not have been her real name simply the one that Chloe used) and nothing was said about it? It's like all those people dying when Xander summoned Sweet and no one ever chided him.

I just found out that Alan Bell, producer of "Six Feet Under", might be making a TV series based on the vampire novels of Charlaine Harris (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117931816?categoryid=14&cs=1&s=h&p=0). I don't read many published vampire novels (so little time so much to read and generally I like our BtVS fanfic better) but I do read hers (and Chelsea Quinn Yarbro and Tanya Huff). I like her characters and the situation that she's developed all tinged with a nice sense of humor. I just hope they do a good job translating it to the small screen.

A Favorite Fic: My Scorpion (S/X)

firehorse's My Scorpion is a beautifully written fic that goes AU sometime around the beginning of S5. In this tale Xander goes to Spike with a proposition: he'll help Spike with the chip and in return Spike is to take Xander with him when he leaves Sunnydale. What I liked was that it's all Xander's idea--he goes to Spike and propositions him. Xander knows what he wants and so does Spike. It's the perfect example of why Spander is my favorite 'ship--they are usually two bois who are equals and, as this Spike says, belong to each other. For me the icing on the cake of this wonderful fic was the epilogue. I always appreciate times when kindness is rewarded.

BTW: there's a set of photos mentioned at the end--I wonder if anyone's ever tried to make a real version of them especially the last *drool*
