Illya Darling

As I wrote earlier I'm housesitting and they get hundreds of cable channels (and even so there's rarely anything I want to watch) including one called American Life which I've never heard of - is it new? Well last night I caught my all time favorite "Man from UNCLE" episode called the "Mad, Mad Tea Party Affair" (all the eps were called affairs though not of the romantic kind) with my darling Illya (Ducky Mallard to you young'uns) at the height of his yumminess. I've only seen this episode once since it first aired a looong time ago and it's still amusing though not as much as I remembered *sigh*. One of the guest stars was Zohra Lampert who would also be the guest star ten years later in my favorite "Kojak" episode "Queen of the Gypsies".

This inspired me to write a little parody of Oliver Herrick's "Gather Kittens while you may, Time brings only sorrow; And the Kittens of today  Will be Old Cats tomorrow " (which itself was a parody of Robert Herrick's "To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time"):

Gather actors while you may,
Time brings only sorrow;
And the young hunks of today
Will be the geezers of tomorrow,

While I was googling for the correct quote I came across a couple of sites full of feline quotes and other goodies:

The Daily Mews
Kittens-Lair

WriterCon

In my wanderings I came across ( thanks to [profile] wisteria_ ) a Storytelling Blog with entries on writing sex scenes and the Het Erotica Breakout Session.

From there I discovered [community profile] writercon with interesting entries like:

Vampire Physiology 101
How to Write a Lousy Sex Scene

Sounds like a jolly good time was had by all at WriterCon.

Superman/Clark Kent

One of the major questions in the world of DC comics is why no one realizes that Superman is really Clark Kent without the glasses. Well judging by me it's entirely possible *grin*. I used to watch "Dark Angel" and thought that Logan Cale was really cute. The show was cancelled in 2002 and I began to be worried about the actor who played Logan as all the hoopla was centered around Jessica Alba and he seemed to vanish after their engagement was called off. A year later NCIS premiered and I'd watch it off and on never realizing that the same actor, now without glasses, played Tony DiNozzo until [personal profile] spikedluv pointed it out a few weeks ago *head desk*
