RIP Andy Hallett

OMG - I just read this on SciFiWire:

Andy Hallett, who starred as Lorne ("the Host") on the TV series Angel, died of heart failure last night at age 33, his longtime agent and friend Pat Brady to E!Online.
Hallett, who was a fan favorite, died at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after a five-year battle with heart disease, with his father Dave Hallett by his side, the site reported.

He was only 33 which meant that he was about 24 when he first appeared as Lorne! He really was too young to pass on. My condolences to his family and friends.

Yeah, I just saw that on various flist and it's so sad.

I had the good fortune to meet him two or three years ago at a convention and have a few beers with him and he was an absolute sweetheart. And then the next morning he and Christian Kane did a panel together while still hung over and they were so hilarious.

Very very sad. He had a wonderful personality and had a great joy and appreciation for life.
I never personally met him but my sister met him and palled around with him at a convention, moonlight rising she said he was very down to earth with a killer sense of humor.

I knew he had heart problems because he collapsed at a con a few years back and was rushed to the hospital, he was poorly for months having to cancel his con tour for that year. I just didn't realize his condition was so severe and he had never gotten over the ailment.
