Fashion????

See this? Doesn't the model look like a survivor of a concentration camp who's improvising covering out of an old pillowcase? And this is supposed to make us want the current offerings by the fashion designers? I've looked at some of what's been offered this season and quite frankly I can't see anyone who isn't a slave to fashion wearing any of them. It's like they're designing for a race of strange aliens. Where are the designers for real women who aren't 18 or 6 feet tall or with a BMI of more that 18 who work and take care of their families and eat more than lettuce and diet soda and aren't out partying every night?

Ah yes but it wouldn't have the NAME on it or cost thousands of dollars. Honestly it's like "The Emperor's New Clothes" - one day someone will speak with the voice of truth and proclaim how silly high fashion currently is. It's like the designers are trying to see how much they can get away with and how much we'll swallow before we say enough.

Oh that's just awful and pathetic. I called my sister in to have a look and she says that model is definitely anorexic! We went to see The Devil Wears Prada and excellent film, but really, the fashion industry is just so much fluff...not that I didn't lust after some of the outfits...
