Well my friends' son is safe and well. He was on a Harvard summer study program at the American University of Beirut. Harvard hired some special-ops types to get its students onto a bus to Damascus. From there they were flown to Cyprus then on to Frankfurt. He then flew to Nice and is now having dinner with his family. One happy ending but leaving thousands upon thousands still worrying, or worse, grieving. I have no words to describe the anger I feel at all parties involved in this insanity.
