I'm in Cat Heaven
Jan. 5th, 2007 10:44 amI arrived safely at my cousin's house yesterday and now I have cats!! She has 2 cats - Sophie the older one is beautiful but dumb. Their new one is a black 8-month old (teenage) cat who has lately been let out during the day so he wouldn't bother Sophie as much. Today we have to keep him in as the vet is coming to give him a vaccination. He has been grumbling in catspeak since early morning, complaining that the door service today is terrible. Just now he jumped up on the desk trying to get up close and personal in case I didn't hear him the 500 other times he's meowed to be let out. The reason I haven't told you his name is that he has an abundance of names. He was originally called Max then for some reason he was called Teeny. Now my cousin's hubby has decided he's a Levine and I've decided he's a Shadrach (I thought I might as well contribute to the confusion *g*).
He like to sleep atop an upholstered cat condo nicknamed the Tower of Teeny that must have been very comfortable when he was smaller but now parts of him hang over the edges. He appears to be totally black but my cousin tells me in strong sunlight you can see some very subtle striping. Did I tell you he's very vocal? It's a form of torture they hadn't thought of at Abu Ghraib - being driven insane by a meowing cat. I just hope the vet is prompt.
