Summerfest 2007

Today we ran around getting things for Summerfest, the annual picnic/fundraiser for the Democrats in the area. We bought hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, potato chips and other items for it. At 4 we headed for the picnic area and we started to work. I helped bring in the goodies and the items for the silent auction and helped set things up. CM set the charcoal buring so they'd be ready to cook the hambugers and hot dogs. At 5 the Prof (her husband) came to do the barbecuing and others drifted in with more food stuff. I helped with the food (we served about 130 people) and for the next 2 hours the only time I sat down was to quickly eat my dinner. We raised quite a bit for the Dems and I won a little Beany Baby horse/donkey that was red, white and blue with stars and stripes at the auction. I'm exhausted - this is the most tired I've ever been (though maybe not but I'm too tired to remember *g*).
