More This and That
Oct. 20th, 2007 01:05 pmWell last night's episode of "Moonlight" was fairly interesting though predicatable. We get a bit of an expansion of the vampire/freezer idea. Mick is running about the desert in the daytime and before the heat drives him mindlessly to feed, he's able to get into a bathtub and have it filled with icecubes. If vampires are ectotherms with body temperatures reflecting their surroundings, then traipsing about in 110 degree (or whatever) temperature would heat up the body far more than a normal human so an ice bath would make sense. This still doesn't explain why they feel the need to sleep in refrigerator/freezers in more normal temperatures and what they heck they did in the old days before such appliances.
Speaking of vampires here's a recipe for Vampire Cupcakes for Halloween.
Have you heard the news about Albus Dumbledore? J.K. Rowling just outed him from the (broom)closet (read about it here). This does give another aspect to the interlude with Gellert Grindelwald in the final book. Of course this will make the Xtian fundies dislike the Harry Potter books even more.
ETA: James Marsters character on "Without a Trace" now has a first name - he's Detective Grant Mars.
