I am a member of the Excessant Yahoo Group - apparently Excessant's archive "Tales from the Attic" has been hacked and infected with a Trojan virus. This message is from Lazuli:

As some of you may already know, our archive has been hacked into and
is presently badly infected with Trojans.

I don't want to give up and delete it for good, and for the time being
need to leave most of it in place so I can track down the infected
pages more quickly, so my advice would be to stay away until I can give
the all clear.

I just want to pass the warning on. I'll let you know when I receive word when it's once more safe to enjoy all the yummy Spander in the Archive.

What a Night

Boy what a night - first that trojan virus alert, then part 2 of my essay about my time at PAAWS has been posted at The Way of Cats and just now I've come from checking out the new Google map of Ancient Rome c. 320 AD. It's amazing and I wish I'd had it way back when I was studying ancient history. What a boon to students and writers. What next? Heliopolis? Ancient Athens? Babylon? The possibilities are endless and endlessly fascinating.

A Girl's Best Friend?

Eeek I'm sorta spamming but there's so much happening in the world. In the old days, financial uncertainty led people to buy gems especially diamonds as they were valuable yet easy to hide and transport. This is no longer the case. In recent years small gem-quality diamonds have been made in labs. Now word comes that scientists have found a way to easily grow large, practically flawless diamonds for both jewelry and all sorts of industrial uses. Maybe the day will come when diamonds are cheaper that CZs - after all they are just a pretty form of carbon. Will they still be a girl's best friend? Poor DeBeers *sarcasm*
