Joan Winston, one of the early BNF (big name fans) of "Star Trek" has passed on. I never met her but I've read Star Trek Lives (co-authored with Jacqueline Lichtenberg and Sondra Marshak) and The Making of the Trek Conventions. The saddest part is that she died of Alzheimer's which means she wasn't with us long before her body died :(
