shakatanyI read in today's paper about a woman named Laura Mallory who wants to have the Harry Potter books yanked off of school library shelves because the books are "promoting the religion of Wicca" and that "they’re responsible for the recent spate of school shootings across the nation"!!! I've read the books and they are totally non-religious. There's no mention of a god or a goddess or Jesus Christ or even the devil/Satan/Lucifer. It teaches nothing about Wicca and in the witchcraft department (something quite different) it's in the same league as "Bewitched" or any fairy tale. As for the school shootings I'd rather blame the NRA that makes such weapons easy to acquire.
