You scored as Mermaid, Mermaid: Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.

So, shakatany, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 2% unique (blame, for example, your interest in john vickery) and 18% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy vampires). When it comes to friends you are normal. In terms of the way you relate to people, you believe in give and take. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is overcomplicated.

Your overall weirdness is: 32

(The average level of weirdness is: 27.
You are weirder than 71% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

Does everyone enjoy vampires? Certainly in our neck of the lj but everyone? My writing style is overcomplicated? However I do take pride that I'm above average in weirdness *g*

Of all the brain types, yours is the most idealistic.
You tend to think wild, amazing thoughts. Your dreams and fantasies are intense.
Your thoughts are creative, inventive, and without boundaries.

You tend to spend a lot of time thinking of fictional people and places - or a very different life for yourself.

OK that makes sense and purple is one of my favorite colors *g*

Your Score: Carole Lombard

You scored 16% grit, 9% wit, 47% flair, and 38% class!

You're a little bit of a fruitcake, but you always act out in style. You have a good sense of humor, are game for almost anything, but you like to have nice things about you and are attracted to the high life. You're stylish and modern, but you've got a few rough edges that keep you from attaining true sophistication. Your leading men include William Powell, Fredric March, and Clark Gable. Watch out for small planes.

Find out what kind of classic leading man you'd make by taking the Classic Leading Man Test.

Well that's a relief - I've always liked Carole Lombard and felt sad that she died so relatively young. However had she lived I wonder if she and Gable would have remained married.

LIVEJOURNAL SCATTEGORIES
Use the 1st letter of your name to answer each of the following...They MUST be real places, names, things...NOTHING made up! If you can't think of anything, skip it. Try to use different answers if the person in front of you had the same 1st initial. You CAN'T use your name for the boy/girl name question.

Comment: I will name you 3 interests from your list, and 3 userpics, and you explain them in your own post, asking the same of your flisters.

She gave me these
Interests:
John Vickery - he played Neroon on Babylon 5 and was my favorite character on that show. Someone once said he had a voice "that could melt the underwear off a cloistered nun at 50 paces".
Alien Nation - I thought the movie was ok but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the TV series and the careful construction of an alien society as it tries to accomodate itself to us.
Emma Peel - in the 40 odd years since she was on "The Avengers" there hasn't been another female character in her league. She was smart, sexy, witty and could defend herself. I wanted to grow up to be just like her *sigh*.

Icons:
K/S icon - the original slashed pair dating back to c.1975 (TOS Trekkie here)
Shak/steinlein - that cat poster is rather famous. I found this b&w version and was very pleased that I was able to make my name come out in B&W too
Human nature - saw that on a tee shirt in a store window and rushed to the computer to icon it.

ETA: anyone know why there are little blue underlines?

In the year 2007 I resolve to:
Start a cult.

Get your resolution here.

Any suggestions for my cult?

Also came across a cute website called The Website @ the End of the Universe: a Science Fiction Community and Weblog which offers a downloadable calendar with covers of sci-fi bathing beauties from the covers of vintage SF magazines.

I received this e-mail that Yahoo put into the spambox. It's for something called chanceXchange which they say is a free service where you can trade unwanted films, cds and books for those things that you really want.
It's been setup to help recyclying and to try reducing the amount of waste we generate on a daily basis.
Use the free service to list items you have finished with and the items you would like... we'll do the rest.

If true it sounds like a great idea.

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.
