Where is Winter?

shakatanyToday on the 6th of January I was walking around outside and going places in my lovely velvet shirt and no coat as it was 68 degrees!! In January!! Where's winter? Where's Jack Frost? No one's nipping at my nose. This freakish weather may not be caused by global warming but it is a hint of what might come if we don't change our ways.
I was thinking about the only movie I ever saw at a critic's sneak preview. The movie was called "Orlando" and was based on a story by Virginia Woolf. It was about a young nobleman who's commanded by Queen Elizabeth I to stay forever young and as he exists through the centuries he even changes sex and one day encounters Shelmerdine another immortal. I wonder if one of these beings could have become involved with Buffy and the Fanged Four?
The other day the New York Times had an interesting article saying there were Fewer Excuses for Not Doing a PC Backup. I often read about people on my flist and elsewhere losing all sorts of important data when their computer crashes and I thought I'd pass the link on.
