I just read that my favorite newspaper comic For Better or Worse will undergo a change in September when it becomes 28. The creator Lynn Johnston will freeze the ages of the characters (they actually aged during the run as babies became fathers and parents grandparents just like in real life) and she will concentrate on the now-grown son and his young family with flashbacks to earlier times. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. At least she's not stopping like Bill Watterson of "Calvin and Hobbes" fame or posting just on Sunday like Bill Amend now does with "Foxtrot".
