I think she made a batch of icons then realized she could tell a story with them or perhaps she made them specifically to fit her tale. There are so many clever, creative people in our BtVS community.

Thanks for the info. I suppose this could start a new artform - fics illustrated with icons. However I am not ambitious enough to try (nor do I have the computer time *sigh*)
