Moonlight Still Sucks

shakatanySaw the second episode of "Moonlight" and I'm still not impressed. I discovered that one reason might be that I think Alex O'Loughlin's voice is sort of wimpy. I find that an actor's voice is often a reason that I like or dislike a character. I never liked Magnum P.I. as I thought Tom Selleck's voice had a whiny, irritating tone to it and I have adored characters like Michael Coldsmith Briggs III ("Airwolf"), Neroon ("Babylon 5") and Spike ("BtVS") partly because Alex Cord, John Vickery and James Marsters used their voices so effectively. It's said Vickery has "a voice that could melt the underwear off a cloistered nun at 50 paces" and I believe it.
Now in addition to it being a lousy show I might have to boycott it as Warner Brothers' president of production has announced that "We are no longer doing movies with women in the lead" due to the poor box office returns of "The Invasion" and "The Brave One", neither of which were really womens' movies but simply a casting trick having actresses in the roles originated by men like Kevin McCarthy and Charles Bronson. If this boycott comes to pass I may also have to stop watching "Without a Trace", which I'm only watching it while James Marsters is on it, and "Supernatural", which I watch because so many on my flist like it (so I won't be too traumatized if I decide to boycott WB). Once upon a time true women's movies were the big box-office earners for the studios. It really seems like things are going from bad to worse for women :(

You really don't like supernatural???? Hum...
I have noticed that you tend to be more of a space adventure scifi person rather than a traditional tv show person. I love Scifi sometimes and it really depends for me what it is. IM not a big space adventure scifi person I like more things like twilight zone, ray bradbury theater, the dark side, btvs, dark shadows, and ghost whisperer those kinds of science fiction. I never understood the star gate tv show enthusiasts as I loved the movie but the show never appealed to me. I did love star trek and next generation but couldn't get into any other of the sub treks accept for enterprise. I did love enterprise. I never cared for any of the Star trek movies except first contact but I was always a big borg fan and data fan.
Oh well enough about me... LOL
