shakatanyI came across this post on feministe about Lakshmi, a little girl in India born with 4 extra limbs and what this means in light of the anti-choice belief that life begins at conception. Lakshmi's extra limbs are actually the remnants of her twin. If each fetus has a unique soul, does Lakshmi now have 2 souls? Nature commits more abortions (miscarriages) than humans and the debate is far more complex than anti-choice advocates would like to admit.
