Trouble?

Tomorrow I head to the Boston area for my annual birthday bash via Amtrak. This is the same Amtrak which had about 800 passengers stuck on three trains for about 29 hours last week. Should I feel worried or will it be a case of lightning not stiking twice (which is very untrue anyway)?

Don't worry be happy, I mean, 800 out of how many total passengers in a holiday season? The odds are in your favour! Plus, that NY-FL train ride is about 20+ hours even on a good day, so the most you'll be stranded on Boston-NYC transit is, like 6 hours and you can do that standing on your head, no? LOL

I don't know about the standing on my head part*g* When I was a kid I used to stand on my head on the sofa and watch TV for what seemed hours. Nowadays all the blood rushes to my face and I feel like I'll explode when I try to stand on my head. According to the schedule it should take less than 4 hours barring unexpected blizzards (which happened several years ago). I plan to find a nice seat and curl up and go to sleep (especially as I'll be getting up at 6:30 am) so the time will probably pass quickly. Thanks for the encouraging words.

I can't believe it's that time of year again! Hope you have a good birthday Shakatany. I always wanted to go on Amtrak after seeing the Silver Streak. :D

Thank you. Where did 2005 go? One minute I'm glued to the tube watching the news about the tsunami and all of a sudden I'm watching retrospectives about it. Riding Amtrak probably bears no resemblance to the movies--nothing else does so why should train riding be any different?

Lmao! That's very cynical Shak. :D No fellas in gorilla suits then? What a disappointment. ;) I don't know where 2005 went, in fact I don't know where any of the years went! I feel like I'm in the Matrix.
