I learned last night that Molly Ivins , the columnist who bestowed upon our president the nickname Shrub, passed away from breast cancer. Having read several of her books and articles I know I'll miss her take on contemporary America. Somewhere Molly Ivins and Ann Richards are laughing and gossiping together about the antics of Shrub. However here on Earth we're still stuck with him - TANJ!!

Here are some places to read her articles:
Alternet
Working for Change
Star Telegram
The Free Press

Came across The Fan Fiction Phenomena - What Faust, Hamlet, and Xena the Warrior Princess have in common. Nothing on our BtVS fanfic but it is an interesting article. I know back in the day when I was reading ST:TOS fanzines at least 2 authors Jacqueline Lichtenberg and Jean Lorrah turned pro. I wonder if one day writers may say they got their start writing BtVS fanfic?

Speaking of TOS, I've been seeing pics of the new re-vamped SPFX versions of it here, here and here. I haven't watched the episodes in years as I've seen them so many times that I know them by heart however I may now decide one day to get the re-vamped versions when they eventually come out on DVD (of course after they've been out for awhile and have become cheaper *g*).

Sorry for the spamming but I keep coming across interesting things:

There were rumors that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows would come out on July 7th because then the date would be 7/7/07; instead it's coming out on July 21, 2007.

For teh cute I've also came across a site for Hello Kitty Tarot cards!
