Today I came across a very funny chart of online communities done in the style of a D&D map and was very pleased to see that the "land" of LJ was represented there. Maybe someone will one day map out the state of BtVS within the land of LJ *g*

The Andromeda Strain

One of the few SF movies I like, and considering how many SF movies there are it's not very many, is 1971's The Andromeda Strain starring Arthur Hill, James Olson and David Wayne and directed by Robert Wise. It was a neat little movie more cerebral than action-oriented. Now I read that it's going to be made into a 4-6 hour miniseries on A&E (read about it here). I just hope they don't simply pad with a lot of endless action sequences that's so prevalent these days to make it fit the extended time.  I'll probably give it a try when it comes on but I'm not anxiously counting down the days until it premieres.
