My passport was due to expire on November 20th and hearing all those horror stories about the current delays at the Passport Office, I sent in my renewal application on September 12th, hoping I would get my new passport by Xmas. Well guess what I found in my mail yesterday - my new passport. It took only two weeks and one day!!! Of course that's no guarantee that the logjam is over and I have a sneaking suspicion that if I had renewed it in November it would be well into 2008 before I received it but I have my passport *does Snoopy dance* OTH I'm stuck with a photo that would make a mug shot look good for the next 10 years.
