I've been following the story of a little black kitten named Georgia who leaped out of her carrier when it accidentally opened then ran onto the subway tracks and was lost there for 25 days before finally being rescued last week. Sometimes Bast looks after her own.

One of the stories in tomorrow's New York Times magazine is an article on a woman who's a Christian as well as a comic. What brought her to fame was her "Mom Song" sung to the tune of the William Tell Overture which was posted on YouTube. It speaks of the universal experience of motherhood regardless of race, color or creed..
