Bits and Bob
Mar. 18th, 2009 04:30 pmWell I've now seen the fourth episode of "Law & Order: UK" and it too was a remake of an original "Law & Order" episode titled (of all things) "American Dream". There were small bits that differed from its counterpart (aside from the different legal system) but still... The one thing that does stand out is the occasional flirtatious zing in the atmosphere when Jamie Barber (who is hot - this is a surprise to me as I've never watched "Battlestar Galactica") and/or Freema Agyeman are in a scene. Our characters could be eunuchs and whatever the female equivalent is as far as any hint that sex exists goes (this incudes the ep where Benjamin Bratt's character had a brief fling with his then girlfriend Julia Robert's character). Of course, unless they start producing scripts of their own, nothing will come of it.
Have I mentioned that I love googling *g* I found two classic essays from Ms. magazine online. One is Gloria Steinems's If Men Could Menstruate and the other is A Fabulous Child's Story by Lois Gould. I'm still hunting for Alan Alda's essay on testosterone poisoning.
On my LJ's sidebar there is a link to FreeKibblekat where, when you answer questions, kibble is donated to shelters. I now have a link to The Animal Rescue Site where a simple click results in a donation for food and care of animals.
I keep googling for news on Natasha Richardson - so sad for her and her family and friends. I actually have friends visiting Mont Tremblant and I may hear more details on what happened when they return.
