I received a notice from LJ that today is
nandibble 's birthday. The great Nan Dibble passed on over two years ago so it was a bit creepy but how was LJ to know? I suppose someday it might go through all the journals to see what hasn't been updated in, oh say, the last five years or so and delete them after trying to notify the LJers. Some may simply have been abandoned as the blogger moved on to other things but I wonder how many are remnants of someone no longer with us. The same goes for websites and e-mail addys - cyberspace must have many such abandoned places that may haunt future travellers of the Web. We are definitely in uncharted territory.
