Last night's episode of "Without a Trace" titled "Check Your Head" was delightful. The case was about Rachel, an agoraphobic who disappeared and foul play was suspected. It turns out that she was in love with her assistant Hilary and wanted to make things right between Hilary and Hilary's dad. So she gathered her courage and left her apartment for the first time in 2 years and went to see the father, then went to the bowling alley where her trauma began. There Malone finds her and the dialogue goes something like this: she says "I don't know how to be a lesbian" and he replies "I don't know either" (lol). He talks her out of her hiding place, she ends up kissing Hilary and no one bats an eye. Later she and Hilary are both embraced by Hilary's dad, the mob boss. It was such a sweet ep and I can just picture the outrage in the so-called heartland.
A friend sent me this link to an amusing site Swami Beyondananda where he delivers a State of the Universe Address using words and phrases like "shift happens", "babblum" (strained bullshit made digestible for a simple child's mind), "Iraqi Horror Picture Show" and saying things like "In 2005, Americans had to face the sad realization that the Bush Administration's 'pro-life' stance appears to be limited to the unborn and the brain-dead." All in all a funny yet sad (after all he is describing the state of our country) article.
