I read in yesterday's New York Times about a new poem form using the Fibonacci number sequence invented by a man named Gregory K. Pincus. In honor of being in the Times he wrote:

Mom?
Mom?
WAKE UP!
Fibs are fab!
Open the paper:
Your son is in the New York Times!

I'm no poet but I might try to write a "fib" one day. I just thought I'd post the story in case there are some poets out there.

Do try a Fib. It's fun. And ya never know... there may be a poet inside ya.

Thanks for the link...

Boy you really started something. The other night I woke and couldn't get back to sleep. As I lay there I remembered your comment and began to compose Fibs though I only was able to get the first 4 lines. It took me awhile in daytime to complete them. Here is a sampling:

Sun,
Stars,
Planets,
Wandering
In eternal joy.
The dancing universe unfolds.

Kits,
Cats,
Purring
Lovely songs
Of the feline kind.
Do they know their purrs affect us?

You Fibbed! And no articles on the small lines AND natural line breaks all around, too. That's not so easy to do, soI say "well done!"
