Torture

I went to a drugstore last night and found...Xmyth ornaments and cards and wrapping paper. Then when I got home I heard on a TV commercial my first "We Wish You A Merry..." of the season. It's early November. I'm not a Scrooge--I love finding the right gifts for my friends and relatives (in fact most of my shopping's already done--I do it through the year as I come across things I think they'll like) but to have to live with this bombardment for the next 6 weeks or so will be torture and will turn me into a Grinch. There oughta be a law--no commercials and things until after Thanksgiving. It's too effing early. Let's concentrate on one holiday at a time.
