Today's Parenting

I overheard this while I was walking down the street today:

Mother (to young daughter): "Did it hurt your feelings when she choked you?" 

Now I guess I'm not up-to-date on the latest in parenting and obviously I don't have all the story but still...her feelings???

I probably missed the part where the child was asked "Did it hurt?" or something but for me that ridiculous question has only one answer and it isn't "No it didn't hurt my feelings" *g*
