At the moment I'm housesitting for friends who are on vacation. Their younger son is studying at the American University of Beirut. I've been up trying to find out if he's safe and he is - for the moment. All night the lyrics to Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction" has been running through my mind:

Wish there was a place we could send the violent ones to so they could duke it out and leave the rest of us alone. I'm tired of 'isms' ruining our lives.

Me too and now they're at it in the middle east. For goodness sake, they'll blow us all up yet with their shenanigans! :(
